I came to yoga as a result of a chronic pain related illness over 2 decades ago. Fibromyalgia is a condition characterized by chronic muscular pain and stiffness, aches, soft tissue tenderness, headaches, dizziness, nausea, cognitive impairment, general fatigue, disturbed sleep and more.
Bringing therapeutic movement into my daily life has helped bring me wellbeing. The roller coaster of symptoms Fibromyalgia brings are many, I don’t give up though, I am always seeking. I am grateful to be able to bring my real life experiences and knowledge to you in class. I have trained in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative yoga, as well as other movement modalities including pain management certifications, meditation and somatics. I was also a physio assistant for a number of years and learned much from that experience.
My classes have great emphasis on breath and meditation as well as movement. I teach an eclectic class; I listen to your needs and that’s where we start, be it in a private class or group setting.
Small classes and the use of many helpful props will allow all postures to be accessible to everyone.
I am dedicated to bringing movement with ease and all the benefits of a regular practice to my clients.
